No road No City

Arriving in Coral Bay, we discovered the one-street-city in 5 minutes.  I still can’t believe why this “village” is so small since it is one of the best places in the world to experience underwater life of the unique World Heritage Ningaloo Reef. Think we are just too lucky again.
Because of different ideas to spend our time we decided to think about it at the beach and hired some snorkeling gear to discover the magnificent reef shaped in flowers and other magnificent forms  while the fish with stars and stripes were swimming all around us.

It was a great first experience, although I expected it to be more diverse and colorful. We spread our towels to rest: the reef brought us back to our feet and  learned us realize what really matters:  and for that moment it was a peaceful sleep at the beach..

I wanted to experience the magic for a longer time, but I could not be selfish.  We decided to hit the road and take our changes in Ningaloo tomorrow. Before we left we met a French guy and 2 Italianos, we agreed to look for camping together.
So the plan was to go to Ningaloo, a better and bigger city to experience the Ningaloo reef.  After an hour of driving we suddenly got stuck and lost the road in the dunes. After 10 min of searching we were back on track! Finally we arrived in Ningaloo homestead. Or not, the only thing we saw was a small house with some old caravans around. Ningaloo city didn’t exist! The homestead was just a small sheep farm. The old lady there showed us the way out but we got lost again after 3 minutes. Finally we found our way through and went to Yardie Creek. We tried fishing, but too much wind, so we did the walking tour and found some nice peaceful wildlife spot where you could feel the purity and absence of humans. After another creek at Mundo mundo, we camped nearby, free camping is not available here so we took a real one but were glad to have a shower and electricity. And with two Italianos: spaghetti was on the menu.

I just got up at 5:40am and finished unwiring my fish line at the upcoming sun, while everyone else  is still sleeping. I really start to live within the ritme of mother nature.
